R25 no start

Unread postby Leonkj » Sun Feb 25, 2018 2:06 pm

Been sat for a couple of weeks and when it wouldn't start yesterday I charged the battery but still no joy even with a starter attached to the battery.
Battery tests at 12.3 v which is not ideal but I believe should be ok?

Key in ignition, all lights on then they dim some go out and so does the mileage try to turn the engine over and it just clicks

Please help

I have a video but not sure how to upload

Battery was obviously flatter than I had anticipated. Another higher power starter has it going. All resolved now.

Good news.--I was going to say you had a battery problem but too late.

The voltage you first gave was very low.---All batteries if so low a voltage they won't operate the starter need AT LEAST 24 hours on a charger.--- A fully charged battery in good condition will show between 12.6 and 12.8 volts. This test should be done 24 hours after coming off the charger to give the battery time to settle.
Live long and prosper.

Adroitness and sensitivity in dealing with others or with difficult issues ( Tact. ) will always win the war.
