216 clutch change

Unread postby TeamHealeo » Tue Jun 20, 2017 12:25 pm

Hi all.

Clutch has gone on our '94 216 rally car.

Looking at attempting the job ourselves, never done one before.

Is following the Haynes manual the best way to tackle it? Are there any short cuts you guys can tell us as they often over do it with taking stuff off thats not needed?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

A relatively straight forward job with experience and the right tools,as you said you have not done one before i would follow the haynes manual biggest drawback will be doing it on wheel ramps with limited clearance underneath that's why i love my 2 post lift in the garden, not sure where you are located but if you are near herefordshire you are welcome to use the ramp.
