Picked up a cheapo JVC cd unit while my DD is in for repair, the unit sounds absolutely awsome, the speakers are bassy while clear, no distortion at all, Bruce can be played uite loudly :D :D
I know a lot do slate the Goodmans speakers we have in the MGR cars but i have to say, they sound well, tbh, they are an established company, they must be doing something right (shrug)

I have standard speakers & an alpine head unit, I find it ok never have it loud as the mrs & the weans are in the car & I car share when going to work.
I have thought of upgrading them but didn't know what to buy so haven't bothered.

I think you will find you wont get much better than Alpine, Fantastic units, Like JVC, very good, i have had a few JVC units in the past, all were good, But i have to praise the speakers too, sounds well, there is a saying, a stereo is only as good as the speakers attached, but that can be said other way round

Yeah wanted one for ages wife got me one for birthday Xmas sounds great.
Has parrot hands free & can plug iPhone into it.

Well gave stereophonics a blast on way home today as I was myself & rather happy with the sound so don't think I'll be spending money on new speakers.

Hiya mick, tbh the last few times ive bought a new radio its always been the jvc ones ive ended up with, when I had the zt the standard kenwood one stopped working and I wasn't keen on the disc changer been in the glove box lol,so a trip to a local car shop got me a good deal on a mid range jvc unit when I fitted it the difference it made was excellent,

The best unit i have fitted was a ministry of sound which i had in my Honda Accord ...Awesome sound quality....Good looking unit as well when you switched off
all the buttons & knobs retreated back into the face leaving a blank plate which blended in with the dash....A bit like the Kenwood mask
Life is a bunch of roses but watch out for the pricks
